FFF-Black and White
Our Favorite foto Friday theme is "Black and White".
I just love the time Poppy spends with Faith. He just adores her. I think this picture just captures the bond the two of them share. Poppy is 84 years and Faith is 15 months old.

What color are you
Go figure, my favorite color is green and I'm feeling green. The kids and I have been suffering from the stomach flu. Without getting into to much details, I can tell you that I lost the 8 lbs I gained this summer. So there is some benefits to getting the stomach flu. I'm wiped out.
Green:The feeling of spring follows you. Newness, surprise, beginnings and growth. Your fresh perspective gives others much to consider.

She sits
Mamasita, as we call Faith, amongst numerous other nicknames, such as Chiquita, Blessing, etc..has started sitting. In this picture she sat for over two minutes. Everyday it is a little longer and longer. I have to prop her, but she sits.
I had a dream the other night that she started saying "mama", then said "mommy". OK, ok, one hurdle at a time.
Thank you to everyone for your thoughts and prayers
That's right, oh yeahhhhh, she sits. You heard it, SHE SITS.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder
I think my girls are the most beautiful girls in the world. I feel so blessed to have each one of them.
Paris who is 7, is spunky and sassy, independent and outgoing, a little spit fire and a true diva. She will be starting 2nd grade in September and will play soccer for her third season.
Faith who is 14 1/2 months is determined and feisty, happy and delightful, she is a true fighter. Faith is progressing nicely, she is starting to sit up on her own (with a little propping from mom), and seems to be more alert and expressive.

Time flys when your having fun
It's been a year. Oh my goodness, I can't believe it's already been a year.
August 2nd 2007, Jayme and I and the kids where up in big bear camping. We were just getting ready to launch the boat into the lake when our adoption agency called and our lives would be changed forever. You see, two week prior I had just turned in all of our foreign paperwork to the agency and the wait for our referral began. We had indicated in our paperwork that we wanted and infant girl. They told us the wait could be as long as six weeks.
The phone call came as a total surprise. They called on Jaymes cell phone, which he takes everywhere. They told him we have a daughter for you and he proceeded to pass me the phone. They had told us that she was a little over eight weeks old and had very little info on her but would send us what they had. They also told us that two others families had turned her down. I was in awe. Why would nobody accept her? The agency said that some thought she was to old and to Mayan looking. I couldn't imagine not accepting her. Needless to say we had a great weekend.
One year later and our daughter is home. Happy, healthy and absolutely beautiful. However, adopting Faith has not come without it's challenges. Challenges that we will face head strong. The lord has blessed us with a beautiful daughter and I will do all I can to provided her with a full life.
Here's to you BABY GIRL. We all love you so very much.

Shout Out
I wanted to give a little shout out to some of those blogs out there that have made a difference in my life. Although you have all made an impression on my life one way or another, these blogs have given me hope, inspiration, compassion and a special kind of love. So I wanted to thank these bloggers for sharing their lives with all of us. I encourage all of you to take a look at these blogs and I ask you to please say a special prayer for each one of them.

So I've been given the blogger award. Which I would normally consider an honor, however there are some rules that come along with receiving this award.
1. Put the logo on your blog. Check
2. Add a link to the person who awarded you.
3. You must nominate 7 fellow bloggers for this award.
4. Add links to the recipients.
5. Leave a comment so the recipients know they have received an award.
There was also a questionnaire to fill out, but Stacy didn't post it so I have no idea what it is.
I completed the first task, however #2-5 may be impossible to complete since I think I'm the last blogger to receive this brilliant award. Ok, well maybe there are a few of us left which lifts my spirits a bit because it means I'm not the LAST, LAST person to receive the award, but damn close. So i will not be passing this on. After all it's Friday and i want everyone to have a great weekend. HA HA HA HA HA HA HA.
Thanks again folks

1. Summer camp on Wednesdays and Fridays
2. My husbands emails letting me know how much I'm loved and needed.
3. Starbucks Vanilla lattes.
4. I need a pedicure and would be thankful if I found the time to get one.
5. Outings with the kids when there is no fighting and everyone is having a good time.
6. Thankful for the Lord who continues to bless us everyday.
This was a fun post Stacy, thanks.

FFF-Hair
For this weeks FFF I'd like to give you all a little bit of the various hair styles that take place in our household. For all those that know Rex, know that he has great red hair. Bethany and I can't help but put it in pony tails. It's black mail for when he's older. AND theres Faith. Faith has more hair than any child at her age that I've ever seen. It stuck straight up, naturally for some time and only a bath would keep it down, for a short time. Paris and Roc can sport some stylish dos as well, unfortuanetly I have no pics. Jayme as you know has no hair, and me well it's time to visit the salon.
Oh no you don't put my hair in pony tails and post it for the public to see, Mommmmmmm, I'm a BOY
Now it's up
Now it's down
Nothin' like a bathtub mohawk to make bathtime fun
